ANALYZING THE ROMANTIC CHARACTER OF QAYS IN THE NOVEL “LAYLA MAJNUN” BY SYEIKH NIZAMI GANJAVI

Abstrak

The purpose of this research is to: (1) analyze the main character in the novel Layla Majnun (2) Describe how the main character in the novel Layla Majnun (3) Describe the romantic expression of the main character in Layla Majnun’s novel, a qualitative approach.

              This study uses a descriptive literature study, applies how to collect data, and describes the conflict faced by the main character in the novel "Layla Majnun" by Nizami Ganjavi. The data collection technique used in this study is the author observes all the data.

              Based on the results of the data analysis, the key can be as follows: The analysis of the main characters in the novel Layla Majnun includes dialogues in Qay’s daily life, The Pursuit of True Love Qays. (2) Identification of the main character found in the Novel Layla Majnun, namely Qays is an Intelligent, Crazy, Good Poet, who fears Allah S.W.T, is Faithful, (3) Qays as the main character in the novel Layla Majnun. Qays was a child who came from a noble family and had a good personality. He is very good at making beautiful verses, since meeting Layla he immediately lost his own identity so much in love with Layla, that he was known as Majnun (crazy).
